The first mentions of the church date back to 1341. Initially, it was a wooden chapel with a hermitage, which was demolished in 1633. In its place, in 1639, a brick church was built. The church is located according to the Jerusalem measures, it is also oriented. The steeple, damaged by a hurricane, was rebuilt in 1678 by J.Hoertling from Nysa. At the end of the 17th century, the church was extended by a transept and vestry. The building was built in the Gothic style with the late-Renaissance and Baroque elements. Until 1945, it was a place of pilgrimages on each Good Friday. Over the last three centuries, the church has been repeatedly renovated.
