Monument to Marshal Józef Piłsudski

The statue of Marshal Józef Piłsudski by prof. Marian Molenda, weighing 2.5 tons, was made of bronze. It shows the Marshal in a military uniform on the famous chestnut. It is situated on a 4-meter concrete plinth covered with marble. The monument in Nysa, unveiled on the 100th anniversary of Regaining Independence in 2018, is modeled on the monument unveiled in Tarnopol on November 11, 1935, by Apolinary Głowiński. However, the Tarnopol monument was demolished in 1939 by the Soviet army.
