The observation gazebo was located on the Chalottenhöhe Hill. It was a place frequently visited by the poet, Joseph von Eichendorff. As a result of hostilities, the gazebo was destroyed and a cannon was located in its place. As late as in 2007, a new gazebo was built in the same place. It offers a wonderful view, inter alia, of the lake and, farther, of the Opawskie Mountains. It is one of the points on the so-called Eichendorff Trail.
