It covers, inter alia, the nearby towns such as Głuchołazy, Otmuchów, Paczków oraz Korfantów. PSSE is divided into separate Departments, inter alia, the Epidemiological Department, whose task is to prevent and control infectious diseases, Department of Municipal Hygiene – exercising sanitary supervision, inter alia, of drinking water, water in swimming areas, as well as of public utility facilities, Department of Occupational Hygiene, Department of Food, Nutrition and Utility Items or Section of Hygiene of Children and Adolescents.
