The trail is perfectly suited for a day-long hiking or cycling trip. We start and finish our trip at the St. Hedwig Bastion. Still in the centre, we may admire the buildings of the Bishops’ Court and the Salt Market which excellently illustrates the former nature of the town. Within the Court, there was once a castle which was demolished in 1824. Until today, only the Gothic towers visible from the side of al. Lompy have been preserved. Then, through the picturesque park, we will get to the moated Water Fort. Other very large Forts are located far away on the hills behind the town. Between the Fort Prussia and Fort II, we will go through the characteristic Ceglarska Gate being a part of the High Ramparts.
