Trail of Eichendorff

Distance: 2.2 km Duration: 3:00

Joseph von Eichendorff, the great German poet of the age of Romanticism, spent the last years of his life in Nysa and was buried here. The trail leads along the path, which, according to the records, the poet used to stroll eagerly. The walk is particularly attractive in the period when there is little greenery and then, the observation points offer a wonderful view of the Opawskie Mountains, Lake Nyskie and Nysa itself. The must-see point of the trail is a monument dedicated to the memory of the poet and his grave in the Jerusalem Cemetery.
